Thank you for considering a donation to the New York University Child Study Center. Your contribution will help support our mission of using scientific research to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of child psychiatric disorders, and provide critical support for the Center's core research, clinical, outreach, and training programs.

Psychiatric disorders affect nearly 12 million children in the U.S., yet almost 80% never receive the treatment they need. Through your tax-deductible donation, we can improve the quality and access to mental health care while working toward more effective treatments.

We are a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The tax identification number is 13-5562308. Your gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

Donating to the Child Study Center is simple.

Your tax deductible contribution can be made to the NYU Child Study Center in the following ways.

Online

Via our online donation form
Donating online is fast, safe, and secure. After completely filling out our online giving form, simply click the submit button. You will receive a confirmation e-mail of your contribution within 1-2 business days and an official receipt will be mailed to you from the University’s Office of the Treasurer for tax purposes.

Via the NYU Alumni Giving Website
The Child Study Center accepts online donations securely through the NYU Alumni Giving Website. (Please note: You do not need to be an alumnus of New York University to submit an online donation.) Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities may offer substantial tax advantages to you. This means that if you itemize your federal income deductions, you may also receive a federal income tax charitable deduction (up to 30% of your adjusted gross income with a five-year carryover) for the security's full fair market value, if you have held it for longer than 12 months. Please first consult your financial advisor before making a gift of securities. When you are ready to make that gift of securities to the Center, please call the Development Office at (212) 404-3656 for information on the proper procedures.

Tribute Gifts

Gifts to the Child Study Center provide a special opportunity to honor the memory of a family member or friend, or to recognize an individual or a life occasion. Tribute gifts can be made at any time with cash or appreciated securities.

Please indicate the name, address, email and telephone information for the person you are honoring so that we may let them know that a gift has been made in their name. We will not disclose the amount.

Matching Gifts

Many employers have matching gift programs that will increase your contribution to the Center. Contact your Human Resources Department to find out if your company has a matching gift program.
